the best way of a successful life
The world is full of people who are looking for the ideal. Whether it’s work, family, or love. When you think about what other people can become and how that’s possible, the things that make other people tick stand out more than anything else. People go out of their way to be better than others. To excel at everything they do. This is a beautiful thing, but then again this event is also what makes them miserable. The sad truth?. Just because you can’t do something doesn’t mean you do something wrong. It’s not as if you shouldn’t try to do things that can help yourself or others. But to find your happy place in life (or your purpose) you need to know why you were born in the first place. I believe that there are three key reasons why you have been blessed with us; 1) so that you can live a fulfilling life; 2) to spread the good word of God; 3) to meet God’s promise (to always have an answer to everything you ask him to help you do).The problem is in the pursuit of an ever-changing goal.
No matter how much we want what we want, we don’t always get to have it. We can’t find our way or keep track of all the steps we take toward getting there in a perfect state every step along the way, which is exactly where I believe the process comes into play. A clear pathway will help us to realize our greatest desires. Instead of constantly trying to run back the same route all the time, we need to look at these paths as opportunities to expand and develop. As an example, let me give you some ideas on how this could manifest in my own life.
When I was young I loved playing sports that took a variety of forms and played multiple roles. My mom told me stories of her childhood when she would ride around with her friends in cars and pick up kids who needed some extra encouragement or a laugh. This was before my brother started to grow up and my desire to be a pro football player began to take hold. With my parents’ encouragement, I decided then and there that I would pursue any career that I could imagine myself being in, whether that be sports, fashion, acting, etc. While it was one-sided my father never gave up on me and always put his foot down and encouraged me to pursue what made me truly happy. And that’s why I became a student-athlete myself.
I knew that I wanted to be successful. No one saw me play football while I lived at home. I had wanted to be able to give back to those who needed it most as opposed to having to rely on the government just to provide the benefits to those in need. So when I started to attend college in 2005, I took a few classes at Clemson University to sharpen my skills and find a way to contribute to society. There was only one thing missing; grades. I went through four semesters and got good grades in each. At the last minute, I realized that this school wasn’t going to help me win athletic scholarships, so instead, I enrolled myself in Business Administration in 2013. In this new world, my job became to support my family financially and help students pay for themselves. The hardest part that I found myself doing when going through high school and college was realizing that the system had failed us. After speaking with professors and administrators and reading numerous articles explaining various issues that had been brought up by my fellow students, I realized that I had nothing to gain from continuing to live in the same system. All I did during my transition to adulthood was take online classes to learn about my options, and it gave me a bit more freedom I didn’t see coming with staying in the regular 9–5 jobs as I once had done.Fast forward 4 years later and I have learned more in terms of growing my career in entrepreneurship and getting involved in education in addition to my passions in! During this time I have had the opportunity to assist organizations such as Habitat For Humanity of Metropolitan New York, Inc., Global Citizen Education Institute, American Heart Association, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Manhattan, among others. Not only have these experiences taught me a lot, but I have also had the opportunity to share about personal situations I know other teenagers had that have helped bring attention to their problems. Through sharing others' experiences I was able to teach others how to solve similar issues that I had faced which ultimately led to my education as well. With my experience and what I have gained, I am now prepared to seek opportunities that will allow me to build on my knowledge and allow me to continue to evolve and grow my skill.
The result of this journey has not gone unnoticed. As of today, I currently run my own company called T2K in Baltimore. This company focuses on training entrepreneurs on how they can start their businesses while earning money while making a difference in their community. Since launching this company I have been able to utilize the internet in my area of interest to connect with both existing entrepreneurs and potential businesses. Though starting a small brick-and-mortar business may be difficult for even seasoned entrepreneurs to do, it is extremely rewarding, fun, and enjoyable for me personally as well as the people I work with.
